Eight U.A.E Adventures to Try

By Jessica Smith

Are you an adventure searcher planning a trip to Emirates? In reality you will be stunned by the profusion in options of journeys in the Emirates. And car rental Abu Dhabi airport will help you to enjoy all journeys. Therefore here are top 8 must try journeys in the UAE!

1 BloKarting. A hybrid of karting and windsurfing, BloKarting is the most fun you can have on four wheels without an engine. If the wind is right, you can run along at as much as 30kph on these nifty small devices.

2 Dune buggying. The adrenaline of smashing through the sand dunes on a high-powered buggy is peerless. Day-long expeditions from Dubai are available, meaning within an hour of leaving the city you may be strapped in and on your way.

3 Quad biking. This one has a rep for captivating madder characters. Most operators suggest the selection of a sunset excursion, when the landscape takes on an almost magical setting.

4 Skydiving. Freefall over the Palm Jumeirah from just about 4,000m (about 1/2 of the average cruising altitude of an aeroplane), after leaping from one of SkyDive Dubai's craft. After sixty seconds or thereabouts the parachute is popped for a relatively relaxing descent.

5 Dune bashing. Range a waste safari to experience the thrills of dune bashing: tummy-turning swerves, side-skidding and sand-scuffling before the 4x4 car you are travelling in is dangled nose-first down a vertical slope.

6 Caving in Oman. Worried you won't fit into small spaces? Caving does not always mean wedging yourself thru narrow cracks. Actually Oman is home to cavern passages that better look like roads than corridors. Try a trip to Hoti Cave, east of Al Hamra, which has an underwater mere, or if you're feeling actually daring, try a cavern diving trip.

7 Shooting. Load the cartridge, slot it into place, take aim and squish the trigger. To live out your filmic fantasies, all you need is a passport (not because you're leaving the country, but because you are handling voting guns).

8 Hiking. Wish to climb a wadi on foot and get buns of steel? Hiking is a great way to examine the rugged landscape in positions such as the Hajar Mountains (and it's probably the sole legitimate excuse you'll have to wear boots in the UAE).
