Hawaii - The ultimate getaway

By Calvin Quinten

Hawaii is a place so beautiful ad peaceful that it would be a shame to never experience it. Whether it's a family vacation, celebrating a romantic anniversary or on a honeymoon Hawaii has everything you could want in adventure and relaxation. With literally hundreds of things to see and do on the islands there will never be a dull moment!

Without the worries of passports, without the need for currency exchange, and without the fear of violence, Hawaii is the perfect tropical island vacation. You will find instead an exotic paradise full of hospitality and a local charm that just makes you feel welcome. There are many islands to explore but the heart of Hawaii is made up of the primary islands of Hawaii (the Big Island), Oahu, Maui, and Kauai.

Kauai, my favorite island, is known as the Garden Isle. Recognized for it's tropical landscape, beautiful flowers and mesmerizing beaches, Kauai is the perfect island for a honeymoon or romantic getaway. With numerous activities to be experienced it's also a great place for a family vacation. Kauai boasts a smaller population and tends to feel less crowded further enhancing a peaceful stay.

Oahu is the most populated of the islands, largely due to the military population of Pearl Harbor, but don't let that distract you. Oahu has plenty to offer including the famous Waikiki Beach, boasting Hawaii's popular night life. Don't find yourself focused on just Waikiki however; make sure you check out the rest of the island.

Home to some of Hawaii's most famous volcanoes, including Kilauea, the world's most active volcano, the Big Island is a nature lovers paradise. The island, with its diverse landscape, has 11 different climate zones ranging from tropical to snow. It's also home to several of Hawaii's most beautiful valleys which are just begging to be explored.

Maui has long been considered one of the world's best islands with it's beautiful beaches and luxury resorts. Maui has a combination of scenic drives and tropical rain forests to excite the most adventurous of motorists. The island also boasts many historic towns and sights along the way.

The weather in Hawaii is always perfect, tropical, but less extreme than its tropical island counterparts. There are really only two seasons on Hawaii, wet (winter) and dry (summer). The temperatures are always nice, upper 80's during the day and mid 70's at night during the summer, low to mid 80's and seldom dipping below the mid 60's at night during the winter. Hardly a winter where I'm from!

You must make Hawaii a vacation destination and see it for yourself, no magazine or TV show can do it justice. Perfect for relaxation, adrenaline pumping excitement, and romance, you will find it all. So just go on and do it, you won't regret it!
