Tips On How To Always Keep Your Belongings Protected Even When Traveling

By Osee A Glinkerman

Back When I was still a child, my mother and father hid their pricey jewelry and also money within a security box. However, on one occasion, burglars broke into our home while I was away in college and that was what they focused on and pried open in minutes.

Now that I have my own place, I discovered an inexpensive sneaky way to hide my important items in diversion safes. These are secret safes which are concealed in plain sight. Nobody would think that they contained anything very important because they look just like ordinary things.

For instance, instead of hiding an extra key under a flowerpot, I've got a stone safe. It looks just like a stone and even weighs just like a stone. Burglars might look under it however they would not think of searching inside it.

Another product which comes in handy when I travel is my own hair brush covert safe. I am a research associate and, once, our head researcher took me to a developing country where we were cautioned never to leave our own valuable things inside our hotel room.

But it was absurd to bring all such belongings along with me. We were about to take water samples within a remote area which was around 50 kilometers away, have dinner together with the host organization and then return to the hotel much later in the evening.

What if something happened at the site and my own things fell and got caught up in the stream? What if they fell in the murky lake? So, I left most of my cash within my hair brush diversion safe, together with a USB drive that contained important back-ups, and left it in my room.

True enough, as soon as we came back, one of the hotel customers was complaining that his own telephoto lens was missing. I went to my room and my stash was safe and sound.

It was a cheap sneaky way to hide my valuables, but, hey. It worked. This year, I will give my mother a peanut butter can safe. I bet she'll be delighted.
